Shooting them has got to be even more fun.
~GQ~
They were all shot at the beginning to check accuracy, function, reliability, safety and tuned until they functioned perfectly. Some shot better than others and I learned which set ups worked and shot the best. Now I know what works the best to satisfy my quest for accuracy, etc. Some were built for others and some were just sold, as people would see them and offer to buy them outright.
Since I moved, I no longer have a shop to work out of, so I'm out of the practice of building new ones for now.
While building them, I did perfect the practice of re-doing the inletting of LR stocks for the Magnum though. Some of the rifles shown started out with a LR stock from Boyd's or Richards Microfit.
Once I finished a stock, I just had to complete it by building a rifle to go along with it. Once completed, If the rifle couldn't produce 5 shot, 1/2 groups at 100 yards, I would retool and start all over. There are a few over at RFC that do own some of those stocks or complete rifles. Check the classifieds over at RFC for components, parts, etc. that I have for sale now and I'll be adding more in the future. No shop for building them anymore and space is getting tight, so I'll be reducing my inventory soon.
Thanks for Looking and All the compliments/comments.
Keep your Shots in the 10 ring.
Thanks Again,
OMR

I no longer have a SR22 but added a 10 22 target to my collection of guns . did a trigger job , auto bolt mod , floated the barrel but added a 2 '' pressure pad in of the v-block at the balance point . Great gun , loves CCI mini mags , Fed Auto Match , CCI Blazer , and even win Dyna points , worst ammo is the fed Wal Mart bulk for some reason . I need to try some good stuff some time .

Brian,
Who did your barrel, and your iron sights? It Looks really good.
How well does it shoot? If it shoots half as good as it looks you've got a really fine rifle on your hands.
I'm interested in hearing about the setup you have.

Regards,
gearchecker

Thanks Gearchecker for the compliments!
Tha barrel is a THM Tension barrel from Volquartsen. I had them machine in a 3/8" dovetail so I could install the Tech Sights to teach my son iron sight shooting techniques. The nice thing about the sights is they are all threaded to mil spec and can be interchangeable with AR-15/ M-16 hardware (posts and diopters). The trigger group is from Hornet Customs. For those looking to replace thier trigger group and are afraid to tear theirs apart; at 107 bucks, it's pretty much the most economical group to replace them with. After polishing the contact points, it breaks clean under 2 lbs. Regarding the stock, I had to cut it down in leingth by an inch to fit my son better (he's 10) and made it much more comfortable for me also. Regarding how it shoots, it's extremely lightweight so there is some felt recoil when compared to bull barrel designs but I needed the light weight for my son. With Wolf ammo, I can shoot 1/4 inch groups with the occasional flier here and there. I'm very happy with it and it gets a lot of attention.
