Default CZ 452 Special Trainer

I just got one, but am confused about mounting a scope. Everything I've been told says to go with high rings so the bolt will clear the scope.I guess the mediums wont work. What about the rear sight, Im thinking a 13 1/2" long adjustable objective 40mm sope wont work. Will I have to remove the rear sight? If so, will that be enough room? This is my first CZ. I need all the help I can get. Were can I get a set of high 11mm 1" rings if thats what I need?

Glad to see you chose a CZ .22 I know you won't be disappointed. I have 2 of them and they're both great shooters. On mine I use these Burris rings. I believe the high's would do the job. They come with plastic inserts that buffer between the steel of the rings and the scope tube. I've looked everywhere for rings and these looked nice on a sporter. I bought mine from http://www.opticsplanet.net/burris-a...-22-rings.html

Otherwise you can check out http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1...duct/7_3_RINGS for these rings.

  • Smooth Profile, Horizontal Split; For Centerfire & Rimfire

Unique, double-duty rings feature a removable recoil lug that lets them fit Warne Premier bases and .22 rimfire rifles. Four screws evenly draw the cap onto the base and keep the scope from rotating as you tighten the cap. Reversible clamp, with 60° dovetail, provides optimum fit to base or nominal 3⁄8" dovetail.

You can't go wrong with either choice. I have used them both and they are nice and solid steel rings. The high's run low so I would try the high's first. You can always return items at either place and get what fits right. Hope this helps.

Tak

I use the Warne extra high. The highs are just barely high enough for my Mueller APV 4.5-12x scope to clear the barrel. The problem with extra high rings is that sometimes you have trouble getting a good cheek weld on the stock. I use highs with my 3-9x Weaver AO scopes on other rifles.

Great choice. I believe that Warne makes the Brownells 7.3 rings in the pic posted above and Brownells just puts their name on them. Warne makes great stuff.

Will the 7.3 rings fit a 11mm rail?
